About Jerry Rosenbusch
Jerry Rosenbusch began his career in music, attending the University of Miami on a full scholarship as a Tuba player and performing with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. He later expanded his musical range by learning bass guitar and touring with bands throughout the NY/NJ metropolitan area. Transitioning from music, Jerry managed restaurants and bars in Northern NJ, NY, and CT, where he sharpened his skills in customer service, promotions, and team leadership.
Jerry’s publishing journey began as the first sales representative for Hanson Publishing’s Curriculum Product News, an education technology magazine that continues today as District Administrator. This role sparked his passion for education and the professionals serving students. As his territory grew, Jerry hired and managed sales representatives, eventually rising to Publisher of the magazine.
He later served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Agency for Instructional Technology in Indiana, where he significantly increased revenue and built strong partnerships with local universities and state leadership. From there, he joined Creative Wonders — a publisher of titles such as Sesame Street and Schoolhouse Rock — a joint venture between ABC/CapCities and Disney. Following its acquisition by The Learning Company, Jerry managed distribution and reseller sales.
In 1998, Jerry founded 7th Wave Consulting. After several years of success, he joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt to launch its Adjacent Markets Division, and was later recruited by Apple to help develop the Education Partnership Program for their global education team. He went on to join Lexia, managing the Account Management Domain before deciding to re-launch 7th Wave Consulting in 2025.
